Nina and I discuss “The Star Maker,” a two-part, 1981 made for tv movie starring Rock Hudson, Melanie Griffith, Suzanne Pleshette, Teri Copley and Kristian Alfonso. I’ve become fascinated with Rock Hudson’s late career films, which he made toward the end of his life. The made for tv movies in particular have an ominous quality to them that I relate to.
